Science World

Science World Vancouver, located at the eastern end of False Creek, is a prominent science center housed in a distinctive 47-meter geodesic dome. Originally built for Expo 86 and opened to the public in 1989, the structure features 766 triangular panels and 391 lights that create a glowing display visible across the city at night. The facility serves as Western Canada’s flagship science center, offering a five-story interactive experience.

Visitors can explore hands-on exhibits across three main floors, including an award-winning digital gallery and the OMNIMAX dome theatre, which is noted as the largest in the world. The outdoor Ken Spencer Science Park provides additional educational opportunities. The center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though seasonal hours may apply. Admission tickets are priced at $37.50 for adults, with discounted rates for seniors, youth, and children. Family memberships are available for frequent visitors.
